My annual shoot with Jillian and John! We’ve had so many fun shoots over the years, and they have become such dear friends. They are now living in New Orleans, but were in Palm Springs over the holidays, so of course we had to make time for photos! They adopted a really cute mini schnauzer named Wexler, And Jillian is very passionate about her work with Schnauzer Rescue of Louisiana They have helped out so many pups. You should definitely follow John on Instagram, he is always posting such cool fashion for men, espeically if you love boots! Check out our last two shoots HERE and HERE!
Sarah and Ricardo are very organized people, probably the most organized I’ve ever met. They came up with the theme for their engagement shoot, “date night” and all of the locations, talk about making my job easy! We had a fun time walking around downtown Long Beach, its become such a cool area in the last few years. I’m really excited for their wedding, its one month away!
I recently photographed a series of images for Novel Expression, the owners over there are dear friends of mine (Hi Sheridan and Ellen!), and it was so much fun collaborating for this project. Novel Expression is a stock photography collection specializing in romance and genre fiction for book cover art. This project really sparked a lot of creativity, it was fun to come up with the couples back story; who are these two? What period of time do they live in? Is this a break up story? A forbidden love story? I had to keep in mind that there would most likely be copy space and that most books are vertical. I’m excited to see where these end up and what their stories might be. Go over to their BLOG and check out the Q&A they did with me. Here are a few of my favorites…
Every year I look forward to photographing these two. They always have great ideas and have such cool style. Its also really special because they don’t get to see each other very often because John is a sergeant in the Marines and is gone most of the year. I know these images mean a lot to them and I feel honored to capture these moments. Check out their Instagrams, John posts a lot of cool vintage clothes and engineer boots as well as his leather crafting VintageEngineerBoots.Check out JVONV and all of her awesome styling and she also does modeling for Pin Up Girl Clothing where the majority of her wardrobe for this shoot came from. Most of Johns wardrobe is from Mister Freedom. You can find their Madsen Bicycle HERE. Can’t wait for the next one!
