The Woodland Family11.03.11

One of the best things about being a photographer, for me, is meeting new people. I met up with The Woodland family in Newport Beach, they were here visiting from Utah. They are a super stylish family, and I loved the colors they chose to wear, it matched perfectly with the beach setting. Monica does a lot of charity work, check out KOINS FOR KENYA its a non profit humanitarian organization. They do a lot of amazing work.

Here are a few of my faves,

A Sunday Drive10.22.11

Jennifer and Luca were married several months ago and had an intimate ceremony and reception in Topanga. They didn’t have a photographer, so they decided to do some portraits later. When they pulled up in their powder blue New Yorker, I knew it was going to be an amazing shoot.

Jennifer has a friend who makes balloon art, you can check out his facebook page HERE!

Balloons, Cakes & Tutu’s09.24.11

Once again I had the pleasure of photographing these adorable little girls, Addison, Ava, and Jayden. It’s been a little less than a year since their last shoot, you can see those HERE, they have all grown so much!

Addison and Jayden are sisters.

And Ava is their Cousin, she will be expecting a little brother anytime soon, I can’t wait to meet him!

Addison & Ava were both born in September, so we decided to do some birthday themed photos, they both turned one! Addison was so delicate, dipping her finger into the cake and taking tiny bites of icing.

Ava stuck her whole hand into the cake and grabbed a handful of icing, hilarious!

Jayden is a little fashionista!

Ava was a natural with the ukulele.

Thanks to Jennifer & Adam, and Karla & Vidal for trusting me with your Wedding & Family photos, I love watching your families grow.

Tiffany & Scott Engaged!09.15.11

I met with my Cousin Tiffany and her fiance Scott at a wilderness park in Pinellas County, Florida, for their engagement shoot. It just so happens that my parents live in Florida as well, so I brought my Mom along to help out. She was such a trooper lugging cameras and lenses, while getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. I wish she lived closer to me, I’d hire her as my second shooter all the time! Tiffany and Scott are so adorable together, I’m really looking forward to photographing their Wedding in November.

Here’s a few of my faves.

My most favorite make-up artist is Brittany Lauren. I’ve worked with her on several shoots now, and she always has so many creative ideas. I love collaborating with her on projects. You can see some of the work we’ve done together here Vintage Edge and here Sugar, Pearls, and Blooms. Here is our most recent, you gotta love the mustache. Check out Brittany’s WEBSITE and go like her FACEBOOK page, she’s always posting fun stuff. Thanks to Denise for modeling, she had some amazing facial expressions!

I photographed Amy and Joel’s Wedding in 2009, a few months ago I was there for their maternity session, and most recently I met baby Zoey! This is such an exciting time for this brand new family. Here are a few pics of Amy and Joel at Disneyland before the arrival of Zoey.

And then came Zoey…

Sarah & Aaron Married!08.23.11

I’m finally starting to catch up on work, it’s been a busy Summer! I’m really excited to share the photos from Sarah and Aaron’s Wedding. It was just one of those perfect Weddings, beautiful weather, stunning details, and most important, such amazing people! Sarah and Aaron and their families were so welcoming and warm. Sarah’s sister, Laura did all of the Wedding decor, flowers, and event planning. They were Married in San Ramon Chapel, a quaint little Church that had so many beautiful features. They had their reception at a private winery and ranch in Santa Barbara County, it’s actually where the bride grew up! She is also the assistant winemaker there, and she and Aaron made the wine they served at their Wedding. These two are so in love, you can just tell by spending time with them, that they are going to have a lifetime of happiness together.

An afternoon at Balboa Park07.26.11

I spent a fun afternoon with my Cousin Denver, his wife Anna, Haley, and their new addition, Beckett. They were here visiting from Ohio, and it was a great opportunity to get some nice portraits of them together. My Cousin John and his family met us out there from Corona (I’ll be posting those soon!) We all went to dinner afterwards to True Food Kitchen in Newport Beach, delicious food!

What an adorable family they are.

Summer Jam and Grandma07.18.11

I would love to learn canning. I have memories of going to my Grandma Fowler’s house and seeing her pantry full of vegetables and fruits from her garden in mason jars. She was always making something in the kitchen, but my favorites were her biscuits and fresh jam. I didn’t make these Jams, but I tried to make them look pretty at least! I aspire to be as good at everything as she was.

Me and Grandma.
