I grew up in Joshua Tree and went to High School in Twentynine Palms, so whenever I get a chance to shoot in my hometown, it’s really fun for me. I spent the first half of the day with my niece Hailey. I took her to the house I grew up in, the house my Dad built himself. She was surprised to see how remote we lived, and I told her a lot of funny stories about me and her Mom, and her Aunt Mindy. We went to Ravens Bookshop, bought a few books, and spent the afternoon laying on a blanket and reading in Luckie park.
I later met up with Kari and Greg for their engagement shoot. We went up in the Joshua Tree monument, and also to a little carnival that was set up in Luckie Park. They were so comfortable together, it made my job easy. I’m looking forward to their Wedding in a few months!
